The mobile telephone develops fast and fast. Now a mobile telephone is not only a tool to have a call but also is a new concept of PDA-phone. So the old architecture that has only one processor in a phone is no longer useful. As a result a new architecture of two processors for the PDA-phone must be developed. And in the new architecture we need develop a new stack to support the inter/intra-processor communication of software components while providing them with a feature-rich list of services using a standard socket-like API for their communication interface. The protocol stack is called Smart IPC. It will be divided to four layers: presentation layer, session layer, router layer and device layer. The detail design and development of Smart IPC is presented in this paper. The protocol stack is not limited to bridging processors for communication but extends also to external devices such as PCs, PDA, and inter-task communication within one processor.
