Project Management Information System

With the rapid development of computer technology, the computers are applied on many field widely. As the mainstay of the country's economy, House building has developed quickly. It is well know that the content of the engineering project have so many saperate projects, the relationship of every saperate projects are inextricable complexity. So many work are dealt with manual memory, which is not enough. If the relationgship of saperate projects are not classifed scientially, the work will be not done coordinately. So we will have the aid of the ability of the computer, which is fast compute and high capacity, by the sciential management method and with work experience, the engineering project work will be done very well. To apply computer fully in work, I developped the information management system of the negineering project, this system is main communication between grassroot worker and computer. Having compared the more popular negineering project management software, I developped this application program with my work experience.The system integrates seven management subsystem: progress system, cost system, drawing system,contract system, tender system material system and information system. This kind of integrated management software is seldom seen on the market, and is not fit for my work feature. Because the marketable management software must satisfied unified standard, the focus is poorly; the strong focus software is only developped with some enterprise's feature, and not to market widely. Thus we advise to integrate several management system, acorrding to the feature of work and enterprise, to become the management information system of the engineering project. This system is based on the development of B/S structure, it concludes two-side developments: the build of back database and front application program. SQL Sever 2000 database management system is power and high ability, C# program language is simple and to object. C# combines with SQL Server 2000 organically, to complete this system very well.At present, this system is debuging and using on elementary stage, it will have a revisory and perfect processes. I hope that using this system can not only improve work efficiency and quality, give senior manager full decision information, but also save the cost of engineering project and create more economic benefits.
