Since people entered the Information Times, the education modernization is refreshed by Internet and multimedia technology. The style of learning is changing while the mode of information spreading. It's the trend and tide for the development of education in the world that the modern educational technologies are applied to teaching. As a kind of new communicating media of web, Web log is getting more and more attention. How to take advantage of web log especially on its trait such as recording, self-examination and exchanging effectively on education and teaching, that is one of the practical question for discussion. Some attempt and experiments about web log application on education were made in deferent aspect and deferent mode, but a pervasive effective practical mode still not be got yet.This paper is on the exploring research and practice of web log application on education assistant in the process of course teaching about "computer application basis", which is emphasized particularly on the content aggregation by RSS-tech. Based on the introduce about technologies of web log and the research background, the paper is composed of three parts. The first part is based on the education theories include cognizism actionism as sustainment, the effective mode of web log application on class teaching is discussed, which aspect of favor learners on personal knowledge management and favor teachers on self-examination are mention either. In second part, the Web-log-Application-Platform on teaching, its component tools, the basic system structure, assistant teaching activity flow, as well as its function module are given, especially on its tech- trait such as RSS, TrackBack and Tag. The third part, the experiment design and practice process of Web-log-Application-Platform on teaching are studied, the effect and mode research about web log application on teaching give priority to essence study instead of quantum one, by means of questionnaire, interview and test. The result of research and practice indicate that Web-log-Application-Platform is helpful to inspire learners' interesting and go-aheadism, to change their learning method, to improve teaching effect, by means of offer an environment in which learners could issue their study log, could integrated their fellows experience, as well as could study in the cooperative learning way. At the same time, it should be noticed that the effect of web log assistant teaching depend on learners' habit of using web log and the degree that how teacher control at the whole experiment process.
