Since the human society has marched into the new century, it is changing from productive model to re- productive model, and there is so much attention paid on it, which expresses itself through the consumption. This sort of radical transformation shows a variety of relativity and multiplication that arouses the focuses in the domain of study and practices. With the macroscopic background of consumption, mass media take deep part in people's daily life, and influence their behaviors. We had better set a new point of view in the way of interdisciplinary studies among economics, sociology and communication, to study consumption society and consumption phenomena. That is consumption communication.The thesis aims at reviewing the communication course of the Commodity-Media, and tries to analyze the relationship between the communicators and the media in the zoology of consumption-communication. This thesis expounds that how the symbol commodities exist and have being consumed. The author finds that the consumption phenomena is a sort of communication phenomena which has a widen connotation and a macroscopic field of vision. The innovation of this thesis is that it compounds the communication theories with the consumption theories, in order to analyze each essential factor through consumption communication courses. It succeeds in achieving the cognizance of existence state and existence form of message, and drawing the outline of consumption communication zoology.The first chapter commences from describing the changes of modern society, that is to say the changes of communication environment. It explains the rules of communication in consumption society, and then establishes a consumption-communication zoology structures. This part embodies the characteristics of consumption communication, such as the spectacle feature, messages environment and what we really consume.The second chapter mostly aims at analyzing the existence of the symbol commodities and its essence, which belongs to the media analysis in communication study.
