XML is fast emerging as the standard for data representation and exchange on the World Wide Web. Files under the standard of XML can not only save the data but also the structure of the data itself. The nodes with different physical structure, different operating system different data structure, can exchange data freely with each other on the Internet, using the technology of XML. They can also call the functions on the other node. They can share the source of the node on the Internet. The Web Service can use the protocol based on XML technology to transport data in XML documents. So XML technology plays an important role in the implementation of Web Service.
