Because of its widely application in military and civilian affair, Synthetic Aperture Radar has received more and more recognition. So many countries devote much to develop high resolving power, multi-function, entirely digital real-time imaging SAR system. Because SAR's high-speed development in recent year, the conflict between the large amount of data, data transfers and the real-time imaging of the data processors strengthened. Meanwhile, people wish more to see the real-time image while flying. PCI is a high-powered local bus of computer; it has a high speed for data transfer, and fits for the need of high-speed peripheral equipment of image. As a result, a Synthetic Aperture Radar's real-time image displaying system based on PCI is a good way to solve the problems above. Therefore, research on the Synthetic Aperture Radar's real-time image displaying, make out a Synthetic Aperture Radar's real-time image displaying system based on PCI Bus is a significative subject.Based on one SAR's processor project of Institute of Electronics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, this article designed and implemented a Synthetic Aperture Radar's real-time image displaying system based on PCI Bus. By the way of build the high-speed channel for data transfers, this system made the real-time image data transfer in high speed through the PCI Bus, and through the embedded computer's data processor and the high-powered imaging software, it create the real-time image which could be seen on the display equipment even while it flying.This Article first introduced the concept and the developing course of SAR, and then explained the function, main parameters and the hardware structure of Synthetic Aperture Radar's real-time imaging processor. After that, base on the analysis of PCI Bus and P.CI interface controller, in the way of hardware and software, it gave an elaborate explanation on the Synthetic Aperture Radar's real-time image displaying system based on PCI Bus.
