As one of the most important inventions in the 20th century, Radar technology goes into the time of Sythetic Aperture Radar(SAR) imaging techology.With the advantage of full-time, long-range, wide-field and high-resolution, radar techology has been greatly improved in getting data, which is of great value in both military use and civil use.For the unaccuracy of measured data, the motion error occuring in flight should be compensated by imaging algorithm. In the paper, firstly we introduced the imaging algorithm in details, then we completed the real time imaging system based on airborne SAR.At first, the SAR imaging algorithm is projected into SAR signal processor in the real time SAR imaging system.Meanwhile, the real time SAR signal processing is completed by FPGA and DSP. Under the Visual DSP system, the whole real time imaging algorithm is done using C and assemble language. We designed the reasonable distribution mode of SDRAM, also assignment of the all DSP chip and the data transmission among them. Finally, the processing load module is completed, which makes the inner signal judge whether the loading is successful or not in the SAR real time signal processor automatically. The whole system is of strong expansibility, from the experiment of outfield flight-test with the imaging result, the feasibility of our system is validated.
