Bank Of China Intranet Service Management System Design And Implementation

Intranet is an internet that is inside enterprise and bases on TCP/IP protocols. Intranet provides technique of information share and information exchange for employees of enterprise. By using Intranet, employees can improve their work efficiency and employer can reduce the cost of enterprise. Consequently the ability of competition of enterprise is enhanced. These merits of Intranet make it rapid development since its appearance. But the problem of Intranet's management is not resolved. How to resolve this problem is now puzzling many leaders of IT section in enterprises.Some problems of Intranet's management are discussed in this paper. By referring some international study on those problems, this paper brings forward, designs and implements the Intranet management system of BOC(Bank of China)--an Intranet Service Management System (ISMS). The ISMS is a distributed system that manages those Intranet Service that provide functions of Intranet. SNMP protocol that is one protocol of TCP/IP protocols are used in the ISMS as protocol in transferring management message. MIB, agent and management-software are included in the ISMS. The ISMS uses distributed structure as its management structure. Because the ISMS resolved some problems in Intranet management, the efficiency and reliability of Intranet management are enhanced. The ISMS has been used in Intranet of BOC and some effective has been gotten.
