In this thesis, based on the requirement of azimuth scanning X-band phased array antenna design, micro-strip antenna array that has wideband characteristic is studied. First, some numerical analysis methods, such as Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD), Finite Element (FEM), Method of Moment (MOM), are introduced. Then the electric field equations of rectangular micro-strip patch antenna are deduced. One kind of electromagnetic software, IE3D, is also briefly presented.Based on the discussion of the numerical analysis methods, we have analyzed the influences of several factors on the capability of the micro-strip patch antenna by combining the design targets, and used the design project of azimuth scanning X-band phased array, and then carry on simulating and calculation by using the electromagnetic software IE3D.The simulation and measured results suggest that the antenna array of this kind of structure has good bandwidth and high antenna efficiency, and so meet the design request.Finally we have analyzed some factors such as feed mode, influences of mutual coupling, antenna losses and so on, which may affect the function of antenna array. |
