Road Materials Management Information System Design And Implementation

Based on traditional management, used client/server(C/S) mode, based on windows 2000 Advanced Server and SQL Server 2000 database, Information system of material management has been established in the highway management Bureau of Xian in accordance with actual material experiments, combined with development of ERP and logistic concept.By the investigation, conclusion and analysis, the major idea to the system and its database has been discussed. The database has been developed in Xian highway management Bureau combined with the organization and construction. By using the development tools of Visual Basic 6. 0, the system of material management is developed in which the follow subsystems are included: system maintain, basic information, planning management, purchasing management, dealing with operation, electronic report forms and analyzing for deposit. Moreover the inquiry through a clue of combination of conditions is included in the system, in which it's meted to the thinking way and using custom of user.By using the system, it is avoided to the slow-speed working and realized the modernization of material management, and the degree of sharing of current data is increased. It's saved plenty of time, and raised the personnel's work efficiency. On the other hand, it is changed the way of accessing traditional handcraft data. It can be used to help leaders to improve the levels of decision.
