Rcm And Struts-based Enterprise Asset Management System Study

With more and more fiercely competition in the international market, capital-intensive enterprises must not only deal with the outside pressure, but also face the inside conditions that the enterprise asset management and maintenance operations are increasingly complex and heavy. Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) which is always a powerful information technology tool is further required to supply the function of strategy analysis for equipment management so as to meet the enterprises' demands beyond routine operation. Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) is an advanced theory and method about asset maintenance and it can satisfy this requirement. Therefore it is very significant to study an EAM system which implements RCM.The Java 2 Enterprise Edition(J2EE) platform and Struts framework both based on Java programming language and other computer technologies including Apache, Tomcat, JBoss, MySQL which can support the application of J2EE and Struts, provide with an integrated solution for enterprise application. All of the technologies above have made the realization of EAM system feasible and effective.Firstly the primary ideas of RCM are introduced. A basic RCM analysis process is defined for the further study and its deficiencies in field application are indicated. Then the methods which aim at the deficiencies are separated into two kinds: simplified methods and extended methods. The characteristics and application scope of those methods are concluded. Based on the research of problems in the application of those methods, an integrated RCM analysis process which absorbs the strongpoint of those methods is proposed.Considering the characteristics of cigarette factory, cigarette equipments are separated into two kinds: tobacco silk production equipments and cigarette machines. Then cigarette equipments' characteristics are discussed respectively and objects of RCM analysis are made certain. The integrated RCM is used in the maintenance of cigarette production equipment and an analysis model of RCM based on cigarette production equipment is constructed. The whole implementary procedure of the integrated RCM in the cigarette factory is particular discussed.Requirements analysis is conducted for a cigarette factory. Then an EAM system is established with the layout of system network and functional modules. Coding system of enterprise asset and structure of database are also designed.
