Digital Collection Evaluation Index System

With the development of computer and web technology, the construction of digital collections becomes crucial to literature resources construction in library. So, Library must strengthen quality control toward digital collections according to relate evaluation indicators, so as to understand condition of digital collections at present and user demand. In this way, library can establish rational digital collections development policy and realize the integrated benefit of digital collections.In the foreword, author introduces the related research production about digital collections evaluation, and analysis the issue existing in this indicator. Then, in the text, the article expatiates the related conception about digital collections evaluation indicator. Author divided digital resources in library into three types, that is database, network Internet resources and other digitalized resource. The apparent difference between digital collections and traditional collections lies in it depends on infrastructure. From broad sense, digital collections evaluation indicator should consisted of digital resources evaluation indicator and storage system evaluation indicator.Thirdly, article presents the evaluation indicator of database, network internet resource and other digitalized resource according to relate research analysis . Fourthly, the article discusses the evaluation indicator of storage system; this is the innovation of the article. Then, in order to construct the evaluation indicator system, author designed the questionnaire of digital resources evaluation indicator and investigated some college library in He' Nan province. According to the result of the investigate, and the rule of reasonable,. systematic and operating, author constructed the digital collections evaluation indicator system, from content, search, economy and storage system four aspects. The article adopts the AHP and depends on the idea of expert, count the proportion of the indicator.
