Technical manual is an essential part of weapon equipment system, and also a very important sustentation in process of study, usage and maintenance of equipments. As the exactitude and complexity of equipment, there are huge amount of data, at the same time more and more problems are exposed, such as, inconvenient to use, difficult to maintain and interoperability, higher expenditure, lower efficiency and consistency; On the other hand, as the application and development of modern manufacture and information technology, weapon equipments have been developing with thousands of contractors, as a result, all kinds of technical information are distributed in different systems, so it becomes an urgent problem to integrate and share the distributed and different data available in building a powerful army in our country.Depending on the issues above, this paper research on the information organization mode of Web-based technical manual. Considering document objects as the research object, the research is evolved in the following issues: First of all, the consumer's requirements for Web-based Technical manual is discussed, plus the range, characteristics and clarifying of document objects are analyzed. Secondly, after analyzing the character of description for document objects, a metadata-based description mechanism is presented, and the relevant semantic and syntax are analyzed. Thirdly, the inherent logic relationships relying on the product structure between document objects is proposed, and a concept-entity model of document objects is set up. Lastly, based on the model and the description in metadata, the organizing mechanism of document objects is established, which is process of "disassembly-description-compounding", and the disassembly and compounding process is discussed as following: Firstly, based on the classifying of concept objects and entity objects, the document objects are sorted into different abstract levels as "document domain", "memory cell" and "document view", plus the relevant ways and principles are studied. Secondly, on the basis of Logic Organization and Physics Organization, the organization process is described. The outcomes of the research will give a support to studying and application of technical manual in our country, and will make the integration of distributed and different data in effect, advance the using efficiency of information and reduce the cost of technical manual in the process of...
