Media Asset Management System To Edit Extensions

Media asset management is a total solution to managing all kinds of media such as video and audio data, text files, figures and tables. It can satisfy the requirement of media asset owner to collect, keep, search, edit and issue various information and it can also provide a simple method of visiting the contents for the media asset user, in order to keep and use media asset high efficiently. And it is a new concept in technique field of broadcast and TV system, at the same time it is also the necessity of broadcast and TV digitalizing. However, the current media asset management system's management objects are only confined to the finished programs. Editing is excluded of media asset management system, and the program stuffs are still not used flexibly and efficiently.This project uses multi-media technique, database technique, software engineering technique and software application system, and integrates media asset management system DataBank2000D, developing and fulfilling the extend function of current media asset management system. The extending system not only can identify and deal the common video and audio format files among broadcast and TV system, but also can download the data from media library for editing or transferring the edited products to media library directly by the convenient item of menu.The author firstly finished the editing system interface to satisfy the editing function extension of the media asset management system and then selected the appropriate audio editing software, because the audio software is incompatible to the MP2 which is a common format audio in the broadcast and TV systems, so developed the module of the conversion of audio files. Finally, the author integrated the two modules.The editing system interface of media asset management system integrates the user authority identification, the module of downloading and uploading, the selection of programs and advertisements, the configuration of transferring data information, the display of downloading stuff information, the restriction of system requirement, audio formats'selectivity conversion and other functions.
