Based On Multi-design Platform Pdm System

With development of information technology in china, PDM (Product Data Management) system is more and more important in manufacturing enterprises. In accordance with the software of PDM designed by us, a new-type PDM system is studied, which meets the needs of small and middle enterprises very well.In the paper, the structure of PDM based on multi-design platform is introduced in detail. The system is divided into eight modules, which are BOM management, roles management, documents management, product-configuration management, I/O interface, workflow management and project management. All the modules are based on the electronic storage system such as SQLServer. This is the core of PDM. It's based on relational database management system, and guarantees the safety and integrity of the product data. The schemes of capturing BOM data are raised. We study three-dimensional CAD by illustrating Solid Edge. Using the ActiveX Automation technology, the system visits the structure of Solid Edge's objects. Solid Edge has a parasolid nucleus, which can provide many functions; some of them can help us get the product data. We discuss the data-acquisition mode based on two-dimensional CAD by illustrating AutoCAD. There are two kinds of drawings in design fields. One is the drawing which has schedules of products, the other doesn't have these. The algorithm for capturing the data in two-dimensional drawings is showed.In the system, the method to store and express BOM data is a key element. The construction of product data is studied in the paper. We discuss a few ways of turning the original meshed data of projects to two dimensional tables. After analyzing these, a kind of high effective and practical mode is showed, which expression is single child and single parent.Another key technique is studied which is called workflow management based on Petri net. Based on it, a new-type workflow management mode is given, which is named Function Net. Using Function Net, a technical scheme to realize workflow management is showed.Finally, the modes and thoughts of system-roles-management design are introduced on personnel-organization and data protection. It is introduced that the applying conditions about the system and overview of the system functions in some enterprises.
