Research of natural gas engine is produced by shortage of energy and problem of environmental pollution day by day in the world. The natural gas is a kind of economic fuel, there are abundant natural gas resources in our country, developing the natural gas engine can fully utilize domestic resources and reduce the reliance on the international energy market, natural gas engine has a bright future. It becomes an important subject that electronic control system of natural gas engine is researched. The traditional electronic control system uses MCU and computer together which has a low speed and poor real-time character. With the fast development of digital signal processor, DSPs are playing an important role in making the performance ofthe electronic control system more perfect-high speed, low power consumptionand good real-time instead of MCU. This system is just one of natural gas engine electronic control system based on DSP.System of this thesis design adopts DSP controller as hardware core, hardware system gathers by signal module, man machine interface module and power module. Signal module mainly sends speed and temperature signal to DSP controller after amplifying and shaping;man machine interface module mainly realizes display and fault alarm function;power module offers the power that the system needs.Expect much to those performance or precision, real-time character is strong, small, embedded occasion, it may be a kind of implementation method with higher performance-cost ratio to motion control on the basis of DSP controller. The systemmainly consists of DSP------the control core, into which we move the advancedfuzzy control algorithm, advanced channels, executive parts, man-machine interfaces and power etc. It is a stable and high reliable negative feedback system which can control the ignition moment and energy of the natural gas engine to generate electricity.This paper introduces the primary principle of the natural gas engine control system, puts forward a whole design idea, and gives the system structure . It still introduces the central control part of the system and important peripheral circuits and discusses the fuzzy control algorithm, software design and the realization on the hardware platform.The system selects the popular digital signal processor DSP-TMS320LF2407 as the control center. This chip is one of the c2000 products apt to. industry control produced by American TI company whose products are 44% of thetotal DSP products in the world. It has low power consumption, high executivespeed, strong real-time control ability, and includes 41 I/O interfaces,2K RAM,2.5KRAM,DARAM,32K FLASH and A/D functional parts. This paper compares DSP with MCU, analyses the advantage of the DSP such as buses structure, pipelines and repeated operations, and introduces the CPU and memory structure of TMS320LF2407 in detail.The system still includes control scheme and programming. Control inflow of air and natural gas according to the speed and temperature of the natural gas engine, make abundant burning, in order to make speed to be invariable, improve power performance, at the same time, can reduce pollution. This thesis foundation speed change, speed rate of change and temperature change design three input two output fuzzy controller, adopting fuzzy control algorithms, through simulation of the system, the fuzzy controllers designed can reach very good result.The obvious advantages of the fuzzy controller control rules do not receive any restraint, can not be totally analyzed, benefit to discuss and revise with the operator with practical experience together, adopt various kinds of good control thoughts. Using the computer to realize fuzzy control, it is convenient for people to adopt the natural language to exert one's influence on plant. In addition, this kind of control rule has very great currency, can be suitable for many kinds of different plant through small modification.The software includes init module, starting module, gathering module, control module and man-machine interfaces module.The whole control system is consisted of all the above.The DSP technology is getting a rapid development now, and has been applied to fields of information processing,communication and industry control extensively. This system will become another convincing instance of DSP successful application in electric power industry. It will accelerate DSP application in electricity field, bring better economic benefits for the society and the country, and put forward the development and progress of the society.
