Embedded Digital Hard Disk Video Recorder Network Communication Software Design

In this dissertation, an network communication software on Embedded Digital Video Recorder is designed. This system is developed based on high performance embedded processor, embedded Linux and stream media technology. This Paper mainly discusses and designs the stream media network communication software, the system management network communication software and the UPnP software.Chapter1 gives a comprehensive description about the significance of the research work. The current research status of digital video recorder, embedded system, embedded Linux, embedded CPU and stream media technology are also described.Chapter2 introduces the software designing platform, including the embedded OS, cross compile environment and the essential programming technology.Chapter3 describes the whole embedded software design on the basis of the feature and function of the system. An multi-process structure is given and description of the function and relation of all the processes is also presented. The data flow of stream media is discussed.Chapter4 presents the realtime stream media network communication software design in detail.Chapter5 presents the network playback stream media communication software design in detail.Chapter6 presents the system management network communication software in detail.Chapter7 presents the UPnP software in detail.Chapter8 gives the test result of network communication function of the system.Chapter9 summarizes the software design and gives it's meaning in general aspects.
