Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is a digital modulation technique. It has much more advantages in anti-frequency-selective-fading and anti-narrow-band-interferences. As people become more and more demanding in broad-band mobile communication, OFDM technology is widely used in wireless communication.This thesis deeply studies the synchronization algorithm of the OFDM receiver and its ASIC design, based on the European Digital TV broadcasting standard for terrestrial (DVB-T).The structure of this thesis arranged as follows:Chapter 1 introduces digital communication systems and the characterizations of mobile fading channels first, and then introduces the characteristic and development of OFDM.Chapter 2 describes the fundamental theory of OFDM and the scheme of DVB-T in detail.Chapter 3 discusses synchronization algorithms in DVB-T COFDM receiver, including symbol timing recovery, carrier frequency error estimation and sampling timing recovery.Chapter 4 provides the AISC realization structure of synchronization module in detail.Chapter 5 concludes the content of this thesis and my jobs in the project team first, and then foresees the development of mobile communication. |
