Telecommunications Industry Business System Data Warehouse Modeling

Recent several years, with the rapid growth of telecommunications market in China, software development of business analysis and data warehouse face both opportunities and charllenges. Confronted with huge market potential and fierce competition, more and more telecommunications companies realized that the most important and urgent task is to build an advanced and perfect data warehouse architecture for improving particular competitive ability and enhancing satisfication of customs .The paper aims at the problem of provincial telecommunications companies in the aspect of data organizing. Based on the research into the technology architecture and business logic of data warehouse software in China and the abroad, builds a data warehouse model of business analysis system in the telecommunications company . Take example for a provincial telecommunications company, summarizes implementary background, process and effect of the item. This paper emphasizes the principle and implementatioin of how to build data model by utilizing the data warehouse technology, and builds the conceptual data model, the logical data model and the implemental data model.Reasearch work of this paper is as follows:1) Based on the research into the business of telemommunications companies and theory of data warehouse, builds the data model which has five subjects (custom, product, traffic, billing, marketing) and satifies requirements of most telecommunications companies.2) the manner of data warehouse distributing is presented(provincial data warehouse centre + distributed business data centre).3) Combined with a real project, the method and effect of building data warehouse of business analysis system are discussed.
