Vehicle Insurance Business Analysis System Based On Cognos In Picc Property And Casualty Company

As a fast growing, highly competitive and very risky industry in Chinese financial market, insurance company, which uses means of information technology to improve competitiveness, has realized that transformation from extensive management to fine management has become a key step. In the process of insurance informationization, however, after the construction and integration of basic business systems, the demand for data mining will lead the strategies of various insurance companies quite a long time in the future.After china entering into WTO, foreign insurance companies influxed. They have induced a tremendous impact to China's insurance market. How to use mass data effectively to achieve business objects and forecast development trend is a problem the insurance Decision Support System needs to solve and also a problem in information technology applications of insurance companies.This paper is based on the data analysis system project of People's Insurance Company of China. Its purpose is to find the problem aimed at data characteristics and analysis of business needs of enterprise, to determine the distance between problem and target, to form a well developed model and to develop a data analysis system which meets the needs of business and could be expanded constantly.The main work of this paper is the development of insurance business system of Shandong branch, People's Insurance Company of China. The main content is:Project introduction:project background and project application in the industry.Data warehouse technical overview:First, the data warehouse and OLAP system are introduced, and then the BI of cognos is simply introduced.Project analysis:PICC's main business process, the existing business systems and data query and analysis are analyzed; Requirements analysis of each department of the company are collected and collated, statistical standards and indicators interpretation of data are unified; The project is analyzed, including the objectives of the project, project description, project risk analysis and project non-functional requirements analysis. The necessity of establishing a data analysis system that is closely related to corporate identity id proposed.Data warehouse structures:this paper use data warehouse technology to build vehicle insurance data warehouse, design database table structure, create database tables, write the statements to take data, data processing(data cleaning and data precomputation), take the data to analysis library and write scheduling statements to update tables of database regularly. It firstly solves the data quality problem of data processing and determines the solutions of cleaning and conversion of high quality data.This paper uses cognos to develop the vehicle insurance business system, it describes the implementation process of the analysis theme:configuring Informix and odbc data source, using BI of cognos to analyze OLAP, building subject-oriented business model, writing iqd documents, using transformer and prepared iqd to import data, set dimensions, metrics and the final display styles, generating the data cube and analyzing data flexibly through the data cube. The fixed reports customized by data cube are posted to web through framework manager and analysis studio for query and analysis.
