With the development of computer technology and science of management, ERP has been put into practice in many manufacture enterprises. But most ERP systems are showing such disadvantages as high cost of development and implementation, difficult to maintain, etc, and ERP systems should own new attributes. So it is important to get an ERP system that has simple process, lower cost, higher efficiency and at the same time has higher expansibility, usability and security. This paper at first points out that introducing the application of distributed component COM+ in ERP system can slower the problems above. Windows DNA is a powerful model based on N-tier distributed application. COM+ is realized in the middle-tier of Windows DNA. COM+ integrates COM/DCOM, MTS technology and provides universal solution of middle-tier' service. This paper gives a detailed analysis to the criterion of COM/DCOM, and emphatically researches services in middle-tier provided by COM+, such as transaction manage, queued components, event model, role-based security, load balance, etc. This paper on the base of analyzing the goal of developing an ERP system, points out how to use the thought of ERP to make produce, supply, sales, finance, and human resource high integrated, and emphatically expatiates on the functional modules and data flow diagrams of the subsystems such as system controlling subsystem, supply chain management subsystem, financial management subsystem, and human resource management subsystem. And it advances a method of distributed N-tier structure based on COM+ to realize inventory management subsystem of ERP. According to the condition of ERP, this paper integrates COM+ event service and queued components into an event model that has function of asynchronous transmission. It services well on message delivery and asynchronous transmission between anterior business and posterior business. While designing business objects, this paper deeply researches on how to make use of middle-tier service effectively provided by COM+ so as to get more powerful solution in this system.
