Wcdma Mobile Terminal Software Design Based On The Brew Platform

The system of WCDMA, which is one of the three mainstream projects of the third generation mobile communication system, transits from the system of GSM smoothly. The largest advantage of the system is that in the network frame it inherits the core network of GSM/GPRS, which is widely used in the second generation mobile communication system. The system provides excellent speech service and high rate and flexible multimedia service for users. So, it exists the practical value to research the design of WCDMA mobile phone, which makes use of WCDMA technology.Firstly, the article definitely sets forth the research significance, introduces the research status of WCDMA mobile phone in China and in overseas and analyzes the practicability and feasibility of the research from the view of the market.Secondly, we focus on the WCDMA technology theory, the integral configuration and the internal software frame of Qualcomm BREW platform detailedly in this paper. On the base of those, we put forward the realization project of WCDMA mobile phone software design on the BREW platform, including the integral system software design, module function and module realization. In the module realization part, the input method module is introduced in detail. After it, the paper demonstrates this project fully, and codes in C program to carry out, which proves the rationality and the feasibility of this project.At last, we summarize the key technologies existing in this design and the problems meeting during the design and discuss the further research on the software design of the WCDMA mobilephone.The design has been using in real WCDMA mobile phone system, and every criterion conform to the CMCC general standard specification on WCDMA terminal.
