Research And Implementation Of Video Phone System Based On BREW Platform

Mobile phone video phone is the third generation mobile communication system (3G) markerof value-added service. It is an audio visual multimedia data service which symmetrically orbi-directionally transmits voice, video or information simultaneously between two mobile phones ormobile terminal and fixed landline. Looked from the world scope, the mobile phone video telephoneservice of Japan, South Korea and other countries is in the relative leading level, but many of thedomestic mobile phones do not support this function of mobile phone currently.3G mobile phonevideo phone system is still at the trial stage.This paper studies development process of the upper-layer application software of3G mobilephone video phone system, and analyzes the visual telephone3G.324M protocol structure and6260platform of Qualcomm in details, then, introduces the setup process of signaling of3G mobile phonevideo phone. This paper gives application software design methods on BREW6260platform, andadopts hierarchical mobile phone software solutions of which the interface and business functionsare separate. The code reusability, maintainability and portability are fully considered during designprocess. Compared to the others, this videophone design reduces the complexity of code structurewhile improves the expansibility and transplantation.Physical verification and detailed visual telephone case are tested for this mobile phone videophone system scheme, and finally realizes the basic function of mobile phone video phone system.At present, the mobile phone products using this telephone system are commercially availableoverseas, and have good appraise from users.
