Based On The Gsm Network Control System Of Remote Electricity Meter Reading And Research

In order to realize the electrical meter reading automatically, a automatic meter reading and controlling system is designed based on the computer, wireless communication and electronic technologies.Firstly the development and the present reserach of meter reading, wireless communication and short message services are reviewed. Then, the principles of the system are analyzed. Finally, the hardware and software of the system are designed. The hardware is composed of three subsystems, namely user subsystem, wireless network subsystem and management subsystem. The user subsystem includes data reading and displaying, data collecting, communication and controlling and GSM modem. By use of GSM network and short message services, the wireless network subsystem transmits the data and controlling command remotely. Management subsystem includes GSM modem and computer, which manages the whole system and dealing with the data. The software includes Dynamic Link Library, Database and the interface exploiteded on the platform of Visual Basic.Based on the reading and controlling command, the automatic meter reading and controlling system transmits the data to the management center and controls the station of the system. It has the functions of table printing, data searching etc, and it also has many advantages such aslowcost, widecovering, fast response and easy operation etc.
