The Fulfillment Of Workflow Management System Toward The Electronic Government

With the advance of computer performance and the development of network technology, the Electronic Government of China is developing increasingly. Workflow management system, which worked as the necessary underneath supporting platform, plays a key role in the Electronic Government. The workflow management system enables users to define the workflow process so as to adapt to the constantly changeable business process. Therefore, the flexibility of office automation is enhanced.Firstly, through the deepen study of the workflow reference model of the Workflow Management Coalition (WfMC), and by using the popular J2EE and XML technology, the framework and the module functions of the workflow management system which based on the web were designed for the application of electronic government.Furthermore, a visual workflow design tool which presented users as activity based net and outputted xml file format was designed and developed. Government users can conveniently design and revise the business flow by drag and drop lines between the activities, so the flexibility of the business flow can be fulfilled.Finally, considered both the workflow reference model and the actual condition of the project, a light weight framework of the workflow engine based on the relation structure was introduced, and then the design pattern and the database structure was discussed deeply, while the detailed design strategy and the core handle procedure of the engine was put forwarded.
