Based On Image Information Management System For Web-research And Development

Almost every department of mechanical manufacturing enterprise applies computer technique, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) in design department, and Computer Aided Process Planning (CAPP) and Computer Aided manufacturing (CAM) in producing department. By using computer technology, productivity has been improved, and competitiveness enhanced. But, there are a series of problems appearing such as how to share and communicate the plenty of e-documents which are produced by each department, how to integrate the applied systems from different departments, Product Data Management (PDM) gives an answer. However, medium-sized corporations face a fact that the design department must deal with their real problems in one aspect, on the other side, other departments' information flow lag behind, although they make sure of the developing trend of information. The design department must concentrate on improving design efficiency and quality. Most important issue is how to reoccupy their mature design experiences and successful cases. At the last twenty years of 20th century internet and intranet have been exclusively popularized. It is initially a simple tool to bring forth information, but currently it is a platform of constructing complex electronic commerce system. Trend base on constructing applied system. The combination of PDM and Web technology brings out a suit of inexpensive solutions before mentioning practical problems.This thesis firstly narrates the state-of-arts of information in manufacture enterprise, and then discusses about practical problems faced by design department who have employed a plenty of computer technology. To deal with the problems, the author has researched on system framework, primary function module and implementing approach of PDM technology. After briefly reviewing the history of Web technology, comparing traditional Client/Server with contemporary Browse/Server. The author studied the fundamental theory of ASP.NET and access pattern in ADO.NET and then choices .Net as developing platform. It was discussed that how to layout and design system framework, what is the major function of engineering drawing and document management system etc. After designing out system blue print, the author finally achieved an electronic document management system based on Web by using C# Language, Visual Studio .NET and SQL Server 2000 database.
