Internet is a distributed heterogeneous information platform. There are various application systems on Web. from simple WWW browse to complex electronic commerce, electronic government, etc. There are large differences about the development language, deployment platform, communication protocol, format of the exchanged data among these Web applications. How to integrated these different system has become a problem that must been solved urgently.Traditional distributed techniques such as CORBA, COM+. EJB etc. are depended on specifically platforms, therefore information share is difficult to realize between different Web applications. The key to this problem is to constitute a universal rock-bottom communication standard. XML, which has some important properties such as self-describe, opening, expansibility, etc, will become virtual exchange standard on Web. Web Services based on XML and SOAP is a new software development and application framework, and offers ideal solutions to above problems. XML Web Services constructs a universal platform independent and development language independent technology layer on the current different platform. Depended on this technology layer, various platforms can be linked and integrated together. In this thesis, we analyzed the problems in traditional distributed techniques, and researched core technique of XML Web Services. Then we constructed a solution to Web-based educational administration manage system with XML Web Services development and application framework. We mostly solved cross platform information exchange and share problem on Web. We also analyzed information system security based on XML Web Services. In last part, we introduce implement method relate to the Web Services in a real application. This thesis may be referenced when Web applications, especially N-tier distributed systems based on XML Web Services such as electronic commercesystems are built.
