Research On Optimizing Web Services Via Compressing SOAP

Web service is a measured integrated application, which allow different client to use it's service. Web service has been widely received as a distributed process used in many platform and system. So all kinds of different clients must use one common communicating standard, that they can successfully intercommunicate with other web service which is developed by various technology. Now SOAP is just a most popular and most potential standard. This dissertation mostly introduced architecture and technical composing as well as specification of SOAP. Our emphasis is an application based on SOAP: Web Service Improved System based on SOAP. SOAP is a essential technology in web service, so this dissertation mostly focuses on research and application of SOAP. This dissertation introduced composing of SOAP and it's application mode on HTTP. Then we introduced Web Service Improved System based on SOAP. To enhance the efficiency of web service, we compress it after serializing SOAP response message on the server and decompress it before deserializing SOAP message on the client. The above-mentioned process is the SOAP Extension. The SOAP Extension is a invoking mechanism of the web service method which can manipulate them before transferring SOAP request and response. The developer can write a program which can be executed when the SOAP message is serialized, so that we can realize high efficient transmission of SOAP message. This system centralized incarnate interaction using SOAP to implement crossing operation system, programming language and network hardware platform and criterion based on XML. The system implemented in dissertation, which using compressed arithmetic in the SOAP Extension to realize web service optimization. To decrease the bandwidth of web service, we may hold the system as a single module to using another web service system. So this system has good expansibility and practical applied value.
