As the fast development of Internet, the demand that using the virtual reality technology in web is more urgier. As we known, the 3D object is descripted by a great deal of data , now the problem is how to reduce the transfering of data in web and how to express 3D object more efficiently. The web visualization can be greatly improved by using the function-based shape modeling technique. VRML is an extensible platform for the description of 3D data, and it is independent of description tools. X3D,the newest standard,support some new functional components,such as H-Anim, GeoVRML,Java-DIS-VRML.and the combine of VRML and Java promotes a powerful support of alternate. So VR web pages must be the future direction of web page. HyperFun is a function-based high-efficiency modeling language that overcomes the drawbacks of VRML in modeling. We introduce a node—Fshape, and after some improvements we propose a new node—EFShape. The proposed function-defined VRML shape node allows the content creators to describe some complex models with relatively small functions compared to the large-size polygonal mesh based on VRML nodes. These function-defined shapes can be used together with the common VRML shapes. We introduce many new technologys, such as FRep, HyperFun, JAVA3D, Xj3D, to VR and construct a VR system for establish a real time estate. Moreover, the thesis introduce the recent research in display and model and put forward some own opinions. In a word, as a rapid growing technique,the research in VR is applied extensively to people's life. It will effect people's visual experience more deeply.and we believe that the VR technology will enter all aspects of life and no more a research.
