The research of this thesis is based on the design of MIMO experiment system of national"863"key Project: New Antennas Design and Diversity Technology Research. This thesis discusses the hardware design and realization of the 8 channels MIMO transmitter baseband processing subsystem. This experiment system supplies a hardware testbed for the research of the MIMO wireless communication algorithms and the new antennas design. The main content of this thesis is: 1. Introducing the development of the theory and system of the new generation wireless communication, and giving the structure of this thesis. 2. Giving the system design of the 8 channels MIMO transmitter, especially the implementation scheme of the baseband processing subsystem. 3. Discussing the theory of the baseband pulse shaping filter in wireless communication and it's FPGA implementation. 4. Discussing the technology of digital frequency upconversion and it's hardware implementation. 5. Developing the 8 channels transmitter baseband processing subsystem. Completing the subsystem debug and the joint debug with the receiver system. This system has been running well for a year.
