With the development of network technology and control technology, remote control based on Internet has caused the extensive concern of the industry and become the focus of automation. But the real-time problem caused by the network transmission delay limited the use of the remote control system based on Internet. The paper is mainly discussed how to improve the real-time performance of the remote control system based on Internet. In order to solve the problem, the real-time performance of remote control system based on Internet has been analyzed in-depth. By modifying the TCP(transmission Control Protocol), the delay of network transmission is reduced. It has important meaning both in theory and application.Firstly, the paper introduced the development and application of remote control based on Internet. Then, the structure and control method of remote control based on the Internet is deeply researched. The paper also analyzed the composition of the network transmission delay and how it affected the remote control based on the Internet.Secondly, in order to improve the real-time performance of remote control system, the whole protocol system of remote control based on the Internet is brought forward. Then the paper analyzed the main factor of affecting the real-time of the remote control system and how to improve it.Three new effective methods are adopted to improve the real-time performance of TCP. Combining these methods, this paper analyzed in details the call setup of connection established, increment acknowledgement and congestion control these are the main factors that affects the real-time performance of TCP. Furthermore this part putted forward implementing brief call setup, selective acknowledgements and TCP congestion control algorithm based on network efficiency to improve the real-time performance of TCP.Last, the prototype system is designed and implemented in order to test its real-time performance. This part designed the system framework, function framework model and network protocol system. The real-time performance of traffic control prototype system is analyzed in detail.
