The development of a person has always been the main melody of education since itwas appeared for the mankind. Nowadays, this main melody is getting further emphasized.Education is no longer just for entering higher schools and making a living, but, moreusually, it is for fully giving free play to personal ability and for life long study, and also forthe harmonious development of the society. The current age is an age of knowledge-basedeconomy, the development of the society is gradually changing the relation between teachingand learning.In the age of the knowledge-based economy, great changes in capacity of knowledge,difficulty of knowledge, the renewal period and acquired outlets of information haveoccurred. This puts forward the new request to education and teaching. In order to fit thedevelopment, of the society, education reform becomes necessary. Quality education andinquiry learning are the inevitable direction of the education reform nowadays. Making useof the modern information technology in the teaching is an inevitable means.Take the characteristics of the current age and the trend of society development as theentrance points, this thesis puts forward that the TI graphing calculator introduced into classteaching as a new technology carrier renews the teaching visage, which is quite differentfrom that of traditional teaching for mathematics and physics. Based on the teaching practiceas well as the theory for the TI graphing calculator's appearing, this thesis puts forward theproblem-solving teaching mode based-on TI graphing calculator platform.Although its advantage in the class teaching of science in middle schools has beenverified in practice in some schools, whether the TI graphing calculator is suitable for anyschools with different conditions, or for any students of different levels, is still to be furtherinvestigated.
