Cable Digital Tv Equipment, Network Management System Design And Implementation

As the quick development of national digital TV network' s construction , the HFC managers need an efficient management system, witch is full-functional, safety, and support all types of devices, to promote the ability of management of the whole network , guarantte the transmission credibility and lower the cost of running. This paper is intended to dissect the design and implementation of modulized and reconstructed digital TV devices network management system model, which is based on SNMP protocol and support the scte hms criterion of hfc.First this paper introduces the development of catv network management, including the history of SNMP, the status quo and needs of catv management.Second this paper analysizes the SNMP protocol, including of the architecture,management model and transport , mechanism , etc; discusses the details of scte hms criterion, including tructure of snmp mib.Then put forward a management model , which is based on snmp protocol and scte hms criterion.Detailedly dissect the functional design and implemention of management station and device agent.At last we put forward some technologies to further perfect the ability of management system.
