The Research And Improvement On CATV Business Support System Technology Scheme

CATV(Cable Television) network has become one of the largest industries in the Information Society, the CATV Business Support System (BSS) has been regarded as one of the most important platforms in the information industry. CATV BSS can achieve integration of decentralized systems of CATV network companies and establish a unified customer information center. Perfect CATV BSS solution would make the system easy to expand, and easy to maintain. Moreover, a wonderful technology architecture can also allow for good progress to achieve twice the result with half the effort. Therefore the design of a good framework for the whole system is of great significance to the success of the system. The papers take the Guangzhou CATV BSS project as a practical example. Thinking from the system complicated, scalability, accessibility, portability , the solution is raised. The concrete work as follows :First, to examine the domestic situation and analyze the current issues of the CATV industry. Thiking from the design model, the design thinking and the technology framework are brought forward.Secondly, according to the CATV industry, the system requirement has been analyzed.Moreover, the function modules are divided. According to the design pattern brought forward, CATV BSS technology architecture is based on the Struts Framework. Struts framework makes the system more clear and easy to reuse .Third, the the original Struts based framework is transformed to the Spring based in the CATV BSS . After transformation, the three-tier evel system more clearly, and is loosely coupled. Therefore it is easier to extend. Using LoadRunner testing tools to certificate, the results show that :The performance based on Spring is more excellent than that based on Struts. Thus we proved the feasibility of the improvement program.Fourth, adding Ajax technology, Spring based framework can be evolved into a system framework : Spring+Ajax. We can solve the problem of waiting for the window period, accelerating the response speed, shortening the waiting time for customers.Finally, we can draw a conclusion : These three technical framework is applicable to all kinds of Web applications, and to achieve satisfactory results. References and the design thinking can be brought to the building of enterprise information and inspiration.
