With the development of e-business and information technology, the openness and interoperability between various enterprise application systems has been a pressing demand. How to integrate the business of different enterprise application systems by sharing and exchanging data, become a concerned issue for both large enterprises and software providers. This paper introduces the background of Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) and its applications in enterprise business, and analyzes the basic modules and technologies of EAl. Studies the modules and technologies in a practical EAI and give a reasonable resolve blue print. Then analyzes the problems and challenges in traditional EAI application.OSGi (Open Service Gateway Initiative) technology is designed to ease the development of new and exciting services and applications for the latest generation of networked devices. Adding an OSGi Service Platform to a device, enables to manage the life cycle of the software components in the device from anywhere in the network. Software components can be installed, updated, or removed on the fly without having to disrupt the operation of the device. By exploiting these unique after-market sales possibilities, device manufacturers, service providers and software developers are able to improve time-to-market.When import the OSGi specification into EAI, and build the EAI application base on OSGi middleware, the EAI application architecture becomes open flexible secure and the business modules can be installed as bundles without shutdown the EAI application. At last, give the summary of this paper and prospect of further applications of OSGi in EAI.
