Depending on the information technology, which makes the technology in water supply industry advancing quickly, we can improve water supply process, promote water quality and better water supply management. Using modern technology set up safe, stable, reliable and efficacious water supply schedule system is our hard-working target. A good schedule system can make order reasonable among water taking, treating and using for us to obtain the biggest economic and social efficiency.This article discusses the water supply schedule system in our country, the character of Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) and some methods usually used in a schedule system: wireless microwave communication, General Pack Ratio Service (GPRS), Programming Logic Controller (PLC), industrial control computer (IPC). Considering the design and implement in CHANGZHOU Water Supply Company, the writer introduces the systenroutline, the characteristics in design, basic structure and function, some experiences and understandings.Practically, choosing an available software and hardware platform is the key to make a useful system. Its design should correspond to water supply industry regulations. The function should be practical and simplifying. The application should be reliable and stable. Especially, the system should be convenient to extend and the running costs should be economical. According to our practice, PLC + Industrial PC+GPRC is a suitable choice to create a system in the middle-scale company like CHANGZHOU water supply company. There is much profit in popularization or utilization.
