Plastic extrusion machinery is widely used in plastic processing, working status of the extrusion machine affect the quality of extrusion products directly. Computer automatic control system is used to increase stability and reliability of the processing machinery. The Visual twin screw-extruder in the Institute of Plastic Machinery and Engineering of the Beijing University of Chemical Technology (it is called Institute of Plastic Machinery for short) is the first visual plastic machine in the world .The machine is mainly used in scientific research , teaching and production, There are higher requirements on reliability , security , robusticity and repetition of sampling signal. When the computer control system of twin screw-extruder was designed, we had studyed advanced measure and control technology in the world for reference and then overcomed the limitation of the previous system. When this machine is run , different technics variable can be achieved.Amount of technique in different fields has been involved in this system, including plastic machine , automation , computer software and hardware and communication etc. When we design the software and the hardware of the system, we have used the popular advanced configuration software and arithmetics. For example, we use FIX software, which is popular nowadays in the world. We do lots of experiments and acquirebetter control variable on temperature control. We have solved how to sample melting-plastic's pressure in a considerable high speed which cannot be realized if merely use the configuration software FIX.The interface between human and computer of the system is friendly and convenient to users. The security of running this system is increased and fatalness is decreased. We have optimized some of the structure of software and hardware of the control system.The system was debugged and perfected continuously during a foregone year. At last, this system has been passed checks and accepted by experts and professors in Institute of Plastic Machinery and Engineering of Beijing University of Chemical Technology. They consider unanimously that this system is of better stability , security and good interface. The anticipative requirements have been achieved.
