With the appearance and realization of concept of Virtual Instruments, a fixed mode of testing system comes into being: It should be made of modularized instruments and the man-machine interface should be established on visual software platform. VXI system has many advantages and has been recognized in instruments areas especially in military fields. VXI is the forerunner of modularized instruments platform; It is small, flexible; The criterion has been proved strong and successful; With developed technology, It can match complex demands.; There are abundant products in market. As for LabWindows/CVI, it is made by professional instruments company for testing system integrating, and such kind of software environment has friendly interface to instruments driving program so that it is convenient to operate instruments when programming. Besides, it supports a lot of tools for mathematics analysis which is efficient for data analyzing and processing. VXI ATC integrated testing system is such kind of system made of VXI modularized instruments and adapter units, and based on LabWindows/CVI platform for testing functions. It is used for testing specifications and capabilities of ATC in process of producing, accepting and maintenance. It is small, flexible and can be used in a variety of areas except antenna testing such as transmitter test, receiver test, system coding and encoding test and interface function test in system inquiring and responding state. There are main contents I will describe in my thesis as following: Firstly, how to choose the software platform for this integrated testing system and how to design the software based on database. Secondly, how to calibrating the testing system especially aimed at the adapters in this system. Thirdly, in this thesis, I will introduce how to simulate antenna sweeping radar signal with arbitrary wave generators for supporting the testing system necessary stimulating signals. In this part, it will include the theoretical foundation, the process of realizing and the result display.
