The Multimedia Messaging System Design And Implementation, In The Smart Phone

With the development of computer and communication technology, people can enjoy the convenience and the fleetness which are brought out by mobile computation. The simplex talking function and SMS cannot meet the people's increasing needs. People wish that the mobile phone can provide all kinds of rich service of multimedia. The Contents Provider and telecom Provider also hope to earn more money from value_added service. Now the appearance of MMS, which means Multimedia Messaging Service, is in time. But MMS products developed by foreign vendors almost have occupied the whole shares of MMS market. Domestic vendors always buy modules of MMS from foreign vendors. So it's urgent for us to master the MMS technology independently. It is use of MMS that delivers multimedia from one to another. The contents of MMS include MPEG video segment, image, music and text. One multimedia message designated fashiones can deliver a lot of media data. The transaction between MMS and EMAIL system is available. Because MMS is an application layer protocol, it depends on the bottom layer protocol such as WSP and HTTP. This project is based on WSP. Smart phone is a new technology of mobile phone appearing recently. It is based on open operation system such as WinCE, Symbian, Palm or Embedded Linux. People can configurate the individuation of user interface and download all kinds of applications. Developling tools familiar to developer can be used to implement applications quickly. Because MMS is a necessary function, we integrate it into Smart phone. Digital Rights Management is a new technology that protects the copyright of digital resources which are delivered by MMS. It is a foreland that how to combine DRM with MMS. This dissertation detailedly illuminates the architecture of MMS, function of entities including MMS client, MMS proxy relay and MMS server, model of interconnection between these entities and communication with other system such as email,sms and so on. It analyzes formats of all kinds of transaction between MMS client and MMS proxy relay, encapsulation of all sorts of MMS PDU and encoding/decoding of MMS SMIL script. We introduce the conception of Digital Rights Management and analyze the three methods and the possibility used by MMS.
