Then, after discussing the core idea of the architecture of digital televisionserving system in LAN, a new digital serving architecture, which integrated thetechnologies of the set-top box, the VOD, the digital TV and the network computer, isderived. And, the details how to realize the system architecture is also described. Thus,the digital service system, which composed of digital servers, terminal TVs anddatabase servers, can be established. And then, users can enjoy high quality servicesof the VOD, the digital TV program and visit the Internet through the real-timeinteracting between the TV terminal and the servers in LAN using the TCP/IP andRTP/RTCP protocol.On the basis of all the work above, a simplified TV terminal model is providedthrough the research into the terminal technology.
