This dissertation is based on the "DVB-T Receiver System"project in DigitalVideo & HDTV Lab, UESTC. In this dissertation, the synchronization algorithms inexistence for DVB-T are analyzed in detail, including the algorithms of symbolsynchronization, carrier frequency synchronization and sampling clocksynchronization. A synchronization scheme for DVB-T channel demodulator ispresented based on these algorithms. The scheme includes the following parts: coarsesymbol synchronization, fractional carrier frequency estimation and compensation,integral carrier frequency estimation and compensation, joint algorithm of fine symboltiming recovery and sampling clock adjustment. The system simulations arecompleted based on the SIMULINK platform, the result of the simulation is given inthis dissertation, and the result meet the DVB-T standard well. The synchronizationmodules implemented by FPGA in DVB-T channel modulator is described in thisdissertation, too.The dissertation is organized as following: in chapter 1, the recent situations ofdigital video broadcasting in China and over the worldwide is introduced; in chapter 2,we described the channel characteristics for the digital video broadcasting terrestrialtransmission; chapter 3 gives the framing structure, channel coding and modulation inDVB-T system; chapter 4 is the focus of this paper, in this chapter, the effects of thesynchronization errors in DVB-T channel demodulator are analyzed firstly, then wepresent the synchronization algorithms, given the synchronization scheme, andcompleted the system simulation; at last we describe the FPGA realization briefly inchapter 5.
