J2EE-based Telecommunications Management Network Fault Management System Design And Implementation

The booming development of telecommunication technology impels the further expansion of China telecommunication market and further complexity of telecommunication equipment running over the network. More and more services rolling out add to operators'bill of network management and maintenance. In order to monitor running status of network, to improve network maintenance efficiency, to reduce operation cost and improve quality of service (QoS), operators are eager to unify network management. The ZXUMS P100 provincial-level network management system discussed in this thesis is a network management system, developed by ZTE based on unified network management platform, compliant with the TMN architecture and adaptable to diversified network element equipment. The system provides a total cross-platform development tool, module and API based on J2EE, facilitating the integration with multi-system from third parties. This unified network management system is designed Down-Top with high personality, carrier-class and cross-platform. Fault management system is a major function of the network management system. Fault management system: monitors the equipment status over the network. reflects real-time running status of the whole network. reports abnormality to the management system real time. provides detailed abnormal information as well as handling solutions for network management personnel. In the telecommunication network management system, handling large amount of alarm data becomes the key factor to affect network management, capability and system stability. Therefore, the implementation of fault management system has become the most difficult problem for network management and network expansion. That is, an outstanding fault management system with user-friendly interface is an integral part of the network management system. This thesis: 1. introduces TMN and J2EE technology. 2. introduces the total design solution of ZXUMS P100 system. 3. discusses the implementation of manager, fault management system at server in detail. 4. focuses on some technical problems and solutions during the implementation of manager at server. ZXUMS P100 system was previewed and accepted in the early 2004. And the system has been applied successfully in Anhui provincial-level work management.
