Instrumentation (Controller) is one of the most important parts in automation control system. It can transform analog data from sensor into digital data and put the digital data to CPU, compute a series of outputs to control object by means of a kind of automation control mathematical model. Instrumentation (controller) becomes more and more important in industrial controlling.Accompanying with quick development of computer technique, embedded system comes up. Embedded system is a kind of special computer system on which focus application and bases on computer technique, both software and hardware can be added or deleted to adapt to the strict demand of function, reliability, cost and volume in actual application.Linux operation system becomes more and more important in embedded system because of its open-resource, free and flexibility.This item use embedded system to develop intelligent instrumentation (controller). This embedded develop system includes S3C2410 CPU to compute more quickly, 64 M SDRAM, 64M FLASH to store more data, 10 inch true color touch screen and 5*5 keyboard to acquire more friendly interface, three USB interfaces to expand storage infinitely, one Ethernet interface, one series interface to communicate with computer and one IIC bus interface to read data from A/D. Linux operation system runs in embedded system and it makes develop procedure more easy because of its MMU and multi-procedure management. This item adopts professional system and auto adaptation to solve multi-variant couple. It turns out that the intelligent instrumentation (controller) has many merits, such as more functions, more friend interface and more precise control.
