Philosophical Context Of The French Media Critical Thinking

Regarding academic media criticism as a kind of text to unscramble, the present dissertation is in possession of French academic media criticism and criticism to French academic media criticism. First, the dissertation analyzes the three ways in the research on French media criticism: political media criticism, professional media criticism and academic media criticism. Based on this viewpoint, the dissertation focus on the third way: the academic media criticism, and concentrates on the following main questions: the relationship between ideology, power and media, the subject in the media, media in the role of the consumer society, media as a field in a society, French feminism media theory and so on.In the dissertation, most important theories and authorities since 1940s' have been analyzed. At the beginning or the end of every chapter, author analyzes the signification of every media critic to realism, and explores the expectations we should have of media criticism.
