The blade is one of the most important parts in the aero-engine. The blade design process is iterative, with aerodynamic analysis, intensity analysis, thermal analysis and structural analysis. The structural analysis is one of the most important parts. And presently domestic blade design is two-dimensional design based CAD software, which makes designers' idea-expression limited. In addition the collaborative design is serial, so the structural design process is very long. In this thesis, a way is presented to make the structural design process be three-dimensional, and a system of blade modeling is provided. At the same time, multi-disciplinary design may be partially parallel. Hence the cycle is shortened.The system has included the blade design sub-system, validity detecting sub-system of curve surface and concurrent design sub-system of the blade technology and craftwork.Some key technologies are used in the system as followed:Firstly, by studying methods of feature modeling and solid modeling, a method is given that makes CAD model based logical structure modeling.Secondly, generalized feature model is setup, and parametric modeling is implemented by object-oriented way.Thirdly, an information table of generalized feature model is provided, which is based on XML technology and records design information during the design process.Finally, a blade three-dimensional model can be reconstructed quickly by using the XML technology. So reuse process model is implemented.
