Web Service is a new revolution in e-Business's development process. It based on a series of standard protocol and specification such as XML, SOAP, WSDL and UDDI. It supports and expand dynamical e-Business model. It promotes cooperation and layering service. It also supports the geographical distributed enterprise's team working in Internet. So more enterprises will invest into Web Service's application. As use Web Service creating e-Business, enterprises will face up to issues of reuse legacy system. In this paper we researched how to wrap legacy system using Web Service technology after analyzed Web Service related technology and enterprise's legacy system. We wrapped legacy systems into Web Services based on .Net platform in three layers: application program, transaction and data layer. In application program layer using Web Service invoke remote application program. In transaction layer using Web Service transmit method invocation. In data layer we access database in Web Service and also write some business logical in it. An issue is developers who use new technology to write new system to wrap legacy systems are not familiar with legacy systems. Familiar with legacy systems needs a long period. So it increases the development time and difficulty. In order to resolve this issue, we write an automatic wrapping platform prototype system after analyze some frequently used wrapping requirement. This platform adopts a C/S framework with thin client. The client end has friendly GUI accepting wrapping requirement inputs. The server end is formed of Web Services automatic generate Web Service's code to wrap legacy system according to inputs transmitting from client end. With this platform, legacy system's users and designers are not familiar with Web Service technology can participate in new system's development. So it saves human resource and shortens the development time.
