| This paper attempts to research the reengineering process of legacy system. By combining the experience of the maintenance and secondary development of the financial audit system of one province's China Unicom, the author analyzed the architecture of the legacy system, and summed up a reengineering process for its evolutionary based on RESTful Web Service, and carried out the design and implementation of the legacy system.In this paper, it is introduced with the legacy systems, software re-engineering, REST technology theories, etc. This paper proposed the improved method of reverse engineering and established a framework of the process by sufficient analysis of the existing techniques. Secondly, by the analysis of the REST specification, it is proposed and implemented a set of architecture of re-engineering legacy system based on REST, such as analysis of the legacy system, extract business and reusable code information, and optimizing resources for publishing. Finally, it the system was tested before and after comparison of the transformation of the technical parameters.Based on the proposed re-engineering legacy systems approach, developers can quickly analyze, reconstruct and reuse the legacy systems, and improve the maintainability adaptability and reusability of the new system. |
