| More and more application systems have been used in the universities, however, they are lack of the associations due to the different developing periods, platform and technologies, so that the information can't be shared, the business between these systems can't be cooperated and the data can't be synthetically used. In order to provide better information service, the integration of these legacy systems become instant pressure for the universities which develop information-construction early.SOA(Service Oriented Architecture)stresses reuse, loosely coupling, standardized interface description, compatibility with the legacy systems and openness which isn't possessed by the legacy systems. All of these advantages have provided a very good architecture for the integration of the university legacy systems. SOA encapsulates these legacy assets to make them become services which can provide organizational function.With SOA organizations could continue to obtain the remaining value from the legacy systems, while the university systems can be integrated in accordance with the modular approach to add new services or upgrade the existing services in order to satisfy the new business needs and realize the gradual information-construction.Based on the study in the features and strengths of SOA, this article proposes a service-oriented solution to achieve the integration for the university legacy systems which builds a new service layer on the old legacy systems. This new layer encapsulate the data synchronization modules and the available existing business function modules with Web Service according to the business needs through domain decomposition and analysis in the function of legacy systems. Then put these available services onto the Enterprise Service Bus(ESB). The integration solution based on SOA for the university legacy systems proposed by this article has higher applicable value and would play a catalytic role in the information-construction. |
