| Today, with the development and popularity of the Internet, more and more legacy applications that were produced by the traditional software architecture bring up the demand of upgrading and restructure to the web based Internetllntranet architecture. The restructure mentioned here is relative to system development, that is to restructure the legacy system with higher rate of reuse and lower amount of work. The aim of restructure is to avoid the problem of developing the system again. The sophisticated and variety structures of the legacy application make the demand of upgrading diverse. Because of the lack of the supported theories and standards, the rate of failure are very high. These are the questions that this issue researched. Firstly, from the point of the view of software (re) engineering and software architecture, the issue analyzed and summarized the structure characteristic and the access methods of the legacy system. At the same time, the issue analyzed the structure of the web-based application. A framework of upgrading and reconstruction, which is based on the Legacy System Object Wrapper, is given out. Lastly, the issue discussed the design and the implement of the key part of the framework, Legacy System Object Wrapper Generator.
