In this dissertation, first, based on the aspects of the request to the instrument in data domain test the data generator development and its architecture are introduced. And the principle of virtual instrument is discussed. Secondly, object-oriented programming and windows programming is introduced. And then the design of the control function and the remote communication of system software are presented. At last the dissertation deals with the debugging of the system software.Chapter one discusses the signal characteristic of digital system and the detecting requirement of it to data source, and introduces the application in data domain test, the development and the system architecture of data generator. The principle of the data generator is also introduced in this chapter. Chapter two discusses the object-oriented programming method, the knowledge in windows programming, which are applied in system software design of data generator and the interface between the users and the computer. Then it introduces the used programming software, Borland C++ Builder. Chapter three presents the aspects of software design of data generator including the system structure, the system function, the control function, the data editing and the display, the parameter setting, the application, the keyboard information management and the file operation. Chapter four discusses data generator's remote communication programming in detail, including RS232 interface, GPIB interface and SCPI management mode. Chapter five introduces the debugging environment of C++ Builder and discusses the system software's debugging and error correcting.
